Armação Beach This beach became famous when French actress Brigite Bardot visited it during the 1960s. Currently it is used as a pier for local fishermen and has occasional visitors. The area has become full of pousadas (inns),restaurants, summer residences, etc. It is a good spot for the practice of sailing sports. Near to the pier are some colonial houses since, in the past, there had been a whale hunting colony and some fishing boat repair shops, from which the full name of the little town ("Armação de Búzios") derived. The beach is 400 m long.
